Imported goods require strict product certification (JIS, PSE, etc.). Food requires MFDS pre-approval; pharmaceuticals require PMDA clearance. Tariffs are generally low (avg 2.4%) due to FTAs. Some items require physical inspection (randomly selected). Port clearance is typically 24 hours; total time 3–5 days with inspection. We maintain relationships with major Japanese customs brokers.
